Gemini Season & The Shifting Current

There is a shift that arrives with Gemini season.

There are moments when the current shifts direction without announcement.

Gemini season arrives like that.

But this year, the shift carries something far less familiar. Uranus has entered Gemini for the first time in 84 years. A full cycle has turned. What this brings is not subtle.

Awareness sharpens. Thought begins to move differently. What once followed a single line now branches, divides & returns from another angle, carrying something altered within it.

This is not a pattern you have lived through before.

The last time this current moved through Gemini, the world itself was being rewritten through innovation, disruption, and the rapid exchange of ideas that changed how people connected, traveled & understood one another.

That same current is opening again. As continuation.

It is not a coincidence that you are a witch living & working in this particular moment.

What Uranus brings to Gemini is acceleration.
Information arrives differently. Connections form differently. Truth is recognized in the body before it can be explained. In the body, in the gut, in the sudden clarity of a symbol that won't stop appearing, that changes too.

This is where the nature of Uranus becomes unmistakable. It disrupts what has settled.

It interrupts the expected path. It introduces ideas that arrive fully formed, often without warning & refuse to be set aside.

Uranus in Gemini · A Rite of Divergent Knowing

Gemini doesn't move in a single direction & Uranus doesn't allow the mind to remain fixed. Together, they open multiple lines of awareness at once, revealing that more than one path can exist simultaneously. This working is designed for that moment, when thought begins to branch & something unfamiliar starts to take shape between what is known and what is emerging.

To begin, place two candles apart from one another, not symmetrically, but with a natural offset. One represents the known path, the direction already formed & understood. The other holds the disrupted path, where something new, unexpected or unformed begins to appear. Set the obsidian at your feet, grounding the space & hold your witches' runes in your hand.

Light the first candle, allowing your awareness to settle into what's familiar. Then light the second, bringing attention to what feels less certain, less defined. Stand between them & close your eyes. Bring something to mind that has been present for you, something with weight or persistence. Without forcing clarity, allow two versions of it to exist at once. Let them move, shift & contradict as they will. There is no need to resolve them. Simply hold both in awareness.

Open your eyes and begin to move between the two flames. Step toward one, noticing what arises in the body, then return to center before moving toward the other. Allow this movement to repeat naturally. This is not a decision. It is an experience of both paths fully entered.

When the movement settles, draw two runes (without looking) & place one near each flame. These symbols act as anchors within the working, marking the currents already in motion. Let your awareness move between them, noticing what deepens, what sharpens, what begins to take shape.

Return to center, standing where both flames remain visible. This is the point where the current shifts. Recite,

Two become many, many become one,
What I have held now comes undone.
Not to scatter, nor to divide,
But to reveal what moves inside.

Allow a moment for the shift to occur.

This arrives as a shift in how the thought is held.

Take the obsidian in your hand & bring both lines of awareness together, allowing them to exist within the same space. Recite,

What I hold expands, not breaks,
What I see reshapes what wakes.
Through this mind and through this sight,
I walk both paths and carry light.

When you feel complete, extinguish one flame, pause. And then the other. Remain for a few breaths in the silence that follows. The working continues beyond this moment, moving through thought, conversation & recognition in the hours & days that follow.

What moves through this season does not ask to be resolved.

It asks to be followed, to be held long enough for its pattern to reveal itself through experience rather than conclusion.

Within that space, a way of seeing begins to shift in a way that holds more than one direction at once.

And from there, the path doesn't narrow.

It expands.
