The Season in Motion

The Season in Motion

Here in Boise, the trees are in full bloom, lilac drifting through the air & the sun lingering past eight in the evening. This is a moment in the season when everything begins to lean forward.

The Wheel has turned beyond the crossing & the land now moves toward full bloom.

The land has shifted.

Light holds longer.
Scent carries before form.
Branch & root draw outward with quiet insistence.

What has been set into motion no longer waits.

The season rises.

And the witch, attuned to it,
stands within its ascent.

The Season in Motion

Late spring arrives as movement.

Sap ascends.
Blossom opens.
What was held beneath the surface presses outward into form.

This is the point in the turning where growth no longer gathers, it extends.

The work now lies in alignment with what is already underway.

In recognizing what has taken root & meeting it with deliberate action.

The Witch Within the Current

Imbolc sparked the first flame.
Ostara set it stirring.
Beltane opened the crossing.

Now the season carries it forward.

This is where the witch becomes a point of meeting
between inner will & the movement of the living world.

Thought sharpens.
Desire clarifies.
Action seeks form.

Each choice, each gesture, each act of creation
moves in rhythm with the season itself.

A Working of the Rising Season

This is an alignment working, done at the threshold where the season meets the hand.

Place your hand at your center.
Let your breath settle into your body.

Step to a threshold. A doorway, an open window, or the edge of the land where growth meets air.

In your hand, hold something from the season.
A blossom, a leaf, a small branch, or a pinch of green taken from the earth.

Raise it slightly, in recognition. Recite,

What rises in the land, rises in me.
What opens, I open.
What moves, I move with it.

Bring the plant to your solar center.

Name your work clearly, in one sentence. A path you are stepping onto. A creation you are bringing into form. A choice that is already yours.

With your fingers, gently 'press' a small piece of the plant. As you do, whisper,

As this life moves outward,
so does this work take root in the world.

The land witnesses the act & carries it forward.

Keep the piece you have taken.
Place it somewhere it will be seen, your altar, your workspace, beside your tools.

Then move to the next action.

Send the message. Begin the work. Gather what is needed. Speak what has settled into knowing.
Step onto the path without delay. Uninterrupted. Done once & carried forward.

This is how the work takes root in the world.

The Craft of the Season

The work of this time moves through the tangible.

Fresh blossoms gathered.
Open windows allowing movement through the home.
Oils worn for their vitality rather than their correspondence.
Tools chosen by instinct rather than list.

The witch does not construct the season.

She enters it.

And in doing so, her craft moves with the land itself.

Closing

Remain with what now rises.

Carry it forward through your days.
Through your workings.
Through what takes shape before you.

The season has opened.
The work moves with it.

And the witch stands within the turning.
